Commodore Gaming launched a line of gaming PCs with bold case designs at CeBit 2007.
The company owning the Commodore brand tries to leverage the Commodore sentimentality of consumers who owned a C64 or VC20. I owned a C16, C128 and still have a VC20 in my treasure chest. The VC20 is actually my first mod. I added the missing reset button. Still, I do not feel any attachment or even trust into something that is branded Commodore today for state-of-the-art gaming performance. They need to prove themselves to be up to snuff compared to Dell's Alienware and other custom gaming PC outfits.
I like the Commodore's C-Kin custom skinning concept. To show though that you are a Commodore addict you need to pick the C64 "sick beige" as case color and not one of the colorful and pretty skins.
The top of the line The Commodore XX will feature Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core processor QX6700, ASUS P5N32-E nForce 680i SLI motherboard, 4GB Corsair Dominator memory and 2x NVIDIA 8800 GTX SLI graphics cards.
Commodore Gaming will start selling their PCs starting in April. No pricing information has been announced yet.
