Rumors of new Microsoft Zune features appear because of an scheduled speech of Christina Calio, Director of Music Marketing for Zune at the Digital NARM on May 1st at 5pm.

Digital NARM is a 2 day event to be held as part of InSights & Sounds.07 in Chicago on May 1st and 2nd.
The promising speech title reads: "Attendees will hear exciting updates on developments in Microsoft's new innovative device."

Microsoft's Zune player is starting slow and the need to ramp up their technology. Sandisk is now offering a great Wi-Fi player with the Sansa Connect. Wi-fi is still a technology Apple did not put in the iPod. But I assume a Wi-Fi iPod is around the corner and it might play well with the Apple TV.
