The users of digg made digg.com change their stance on a cease and desist declaration by the HD-DVD consortium and they stopped removing stories containing information or key on a HD DVD hack.
Kevin Rose, Founder of Digg, posted on the digg blog: "We hear you, and effective immediately we won’t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be."
The information about this HD DVD hack is out there on the web. Digg is a multiplier, but stopping them from distributing the information will not help the HD DVD group. They need to make their copyright protection better.
This move by digg is potentially dangerous. We will see what happens.
