The WSJ reports that DaimlerChrysler AG is expected to announce today a deal with Cerberus Capital Management LP.
The private equity firm Cerberus is supposedly the closest to a deal. The Magna group and other seem to be out of the race.
How much Daimler is still getting for Chrysler is not known. It will be for sure less the company paid for Chrysler in 1996 ($36 billion).
More details on the WSJ (Subscription).
