Anyone who was around during the 80’s will recall that your typical 80’s music was played by groups of girly men that tended to have big hair and wore makeup. If you are really into the 80’s music or just really, really wanted to rock out on the guitar in high school the new Guitar Hero game may be just for you.
The newest Guitar Hero title will be available for PS2 only. The title is up for pre-order currently and Red Octane says that pre-orders will also receive a t-shirt. The cost of the game is listed as $49.99 and is slated for a July 2007 release. No Guitar Hero SG controller is included.
The official site is merely a splash screen but does have what one would assume to be songs from the game playing on a loop. The songs that I heard were 18 and Life, Holy Diver, The Warrior, Balls to the Wall, Only a Lad, Shakin’, I Want Candy, Bathroom Wall, Lonely is the Night, Nothin’ but a Good Time, Play with Me, and Synchronicity II.
I have no idea if there will be other songs included as there is no official song list. I wasn’t a big fan of 80’s music then or now and I can’t say I ever really liked any of these songs, but I have heard most of them. If you are a die hard 80’s rock fan with a PS2, get ready to get your groove on. Via Official Website
