Down here in Texas, we really like our steak. We like it so much we can get it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, heck, even brunch if you’re the froufrou type. Any steak-grilling connoisseur can tell you that you don’t want to cut your steak to see if it’s done.
Cutting the steak to see how pink it is in the middle only lets the juice out and makes the meat less tender. You can use a thermometer that you stab into the steak to check the temperature for well, medium or rare, but those are normally just numbers and it can be hard to remember what temperature goes for med or well done.
That’s where the Steak Button Thermometer comes in. This little 1 inch diameter, reusable thermometer pokes into your steak and tells you in plain words if your meat is rare, medium or well done. Trust me there’s nothing worse than an overcooked steak, at least at a cookout. The thermometer is even cheap at a mere $15 for a pack of four. Via Ubergizmo
