Today we are having a look at the Data Robotics Drobo Storage Robot. Really the Drobo is more like an automated RAID array that does all the work for you than a robot we geeks might want.
Drobo has four drive bays and accepts any brand and capacity of SATA drive and aggregates all the drive space into one drive as far as your computer is concerned. Drobo also sets up mirroring, stripping and parity to protect your data.
Review excerpt: To use Drobo all you need to do is plug the unit in, add your drives and Drobo does everything else for you. Drobo will format your drives automatically and the drives can be different makes, models and capacities. Read the full Data Robotics Drobo Storage Robot DRO4DU10 Review here.
