Pokemon fans, Nintendo is following in Microsoft’s footsteps and offering up a yellow DS Lite that is nearly an exact match for the Homer Simpson Xbox 360’s yellow hue. The catch is that the Pikachu-yellow DS Lite is a limited edition. The system includes an etching of Pikachu on the front and a yellow stylus.

So limited in are the systems in fact, that you can only get the chance to buy one of the DS Lite's via lottery at the Japanese Pokemon Center. The price is $139 and you can enter the lottery on July 20.

I have to wonder what’s next for colored gaming consoles, maybe a yellow PS3? A green Nintendo Wii? Color choices are cool, the glossy black or plain white are getting a bit boring in gaming consoles. PC gamers have all sorts of color options for their gaming machines. Via Akihabara News
