Apple, Google asked by NY Authorities to Help Prevent Smartphone Theft

The attorney general of New York sent missives to Apple, Google, Microsoft and Samsung for help in preventing phone theft. The big four were approached by Eric T. Schneiderman in an effort to ward off the dangers of gadget theft. With their cooperation the black market for the stolen devices may dwindle into non-existence in the near future.
