A finding that has recently stunned scientists is the discovery of 2.64 billion years old water channels a mile underneath the ground in Canada. This finding could prove crucial in the search for the wellsprings of life on not only Earth but Mars too. The Red Planet has a similar tectonic structure and so could have once harbored life.
