I knew something sweet was inside the standard Logitech outer packing box, and I was right.
Once I extracted the beast from its outer packing box, you can get an idea of what the G25 looks like, this is a shot of the front of the retail box.
This is a shot from the right side of the retail box showing off the pedals and shifter.
Shot of the left side of the retail box for the Logitech G25 showing the pedals and wheel.
Now we get our first glimpse of the coolest racing wheel ever built, ahhh smell the leather!
Here is the included power adapter and drivers CD, boring but necessary.
Now we get to the good stuff, check out this wheel! That's real leather (and it smells real too) and aluminum spokes. You can also see the wheel mounter shift paddles behind the wheel in this shot along with the two wheel mounted buttons.
Here you can see the G25 wheel from the rear. Those two knobs are the new and vastly improved clamp system, you can also see the wheel mounted paddles as well.
This shot is the bottom of the G25 wheel, the two clamps at the edges of the casing below the wheel are what holds the G25 to your desk. Notice the wire routing channels as well near the bottom of the image.
This is the coolest and most realistic shifter I have ever seen. It is a gated six speed design, the little dial you see above the shift lever is for changing between six speed gated and sequential. The two knobs you see are for tightening the desk clamps. You will also notice the D-Pad and eight additional buttons.
This is a close up shot of the buttons and D-Pad on the G25 shifter.
Close up with more detail of the G25 shift lever and selector dial. The knobs for tightening the retaining clamps pop up so you can grip them easier as well.
Back of the G25 shifter, the long plastic screw adds stability to the shifter for when you are ripping through the gears. You can also see the main retention clamps right above the screw.
Check it out, three pedals just like a real race car! Each pedal has a different feel when pressed as well, just like a real car.
In this close up shot of the G25 pedals you can tell this things were designed for heel and toe shifting!
You can see the red cylinders that give the pedals their super realistic feel.
Here you can see the carpet grips designed to keep the pedals in place on your carpeting. Those with hard floors, Logitech made the carpet grippers where they fold out of the way and the little black oblong pads you see at the right and left corners of the carpet grip keeps the pedals in place on hard surfaces.
This is the bottom of the G25 wheel when the pedals and shifter are plugged in and ready to race.
This gives you an idea of how the shifter for the G25 attaches to a desk and what it looks like.
This shows the wheel and shifter attached to the desk and ready for action, you can also get a glimpse of the pedals under the desk.
Here you can see the pedals under the desk and all hooked up waiting for the race to start.
This shot is through the wheel spokes with the G25 wheel attached to the desk.
