Features & Specifications Other items included with the kit are 7-inch reflectors, two halogen lamps, two inner diffusion lenses, two soft box four panel tents, support rods for each box, two main diffuser lenses, two directional grid lenses, two round spot lenses, two rectangle spot lenses, and a nylon carry case for mobile use. Assenbly & Use The main diffusers attach to the soft box with Velcro and are easy to change as you need. The light fixtures themselves are large and substantial with very good build quality. Anyone who has worked with large high output softboxes or other lighting knows that they generate lots of heat. I have a Photoflex softbox that I use frequently that puts out enough heat to make working for extended periods a sweaty proposition. The SP1000 Professional Series Softbox Kit has fans in each of the light fixtures and they do a fantastic job of moving the heat generated by the halogen bulbs away from the work area. The heat produces when working with the SP1000 Professional Series Softbox Kit is much less noticeable than the heat output of the other softboxes I have worked with. Each of the light fixtures also has a knob that allows you to adjust the light intensity. Each fixture also has its own on/off switch. I liked the large “T” shaped adjustment handle on the rear of the fixtures that makes for easier adjustment of the softbox when working. The stands themselves are large and well built, yet not so heavy as to be a serious burden should you ever need to use the SP1000 Professional Series Softbox Kit on the road. Overall, I liked the SP1000 Professional Series Softbox Kit very much. Square Perfect makes a very well built softbox kit at a great price. You can get the SP1000 Professional Series Softbox Kit with a pair of softboxes for a MSRP of $577.45. That may sound like a lot until you start pricing quality softbox kits and find that you typically only get one softbox for that price. The only issue I had with the SP1000 Professional Series Softbox Kit was that the stands are a bit bulky, making use in tight spaces more difficult.
