Features & Specifications The Viewsonic DF88W 8-inch Digital Photo Frame has an 8-inch TFT active color matrix LCD with a 7.32-ich viewable image size. The screen resolution is 800 x 480 and the contrast ratio is 300:1. Viewing angles are 130 degrees horizontal and 110 degrees vertical with brightness of 250 cd/m2. A built-in card reader is compatible with CF, SD, MMC, MS and MS Pro memory cards. Supported video formats include M-JPEG1, MPEG2, and MPEG4. Supported audio format is MP3. In Use Setting the frame up was easy and amounted to simply attaching the stand, which can be in portrait or landscape orientation, and plugging in the power. A wireless remote is included that allows you to change the photo from across the room. You can also adjust the orientation of images with the remote as well. Viewing images from the SD card of my camera directly on the frame was easy. All I had to do was plug the SD card into the card reader and choose the card from the menu of the Viewsonic DF88W 8-inch Digital Photo Frame. A USB cable is included with the frame for connecting to your PC. You can transfer movie clips and images to the internal memory via the cable. Video playback is impressively good with no ghosting or tearing of the video and the sound is passable, about what you expect from a single speaker system. The clear frame is attractive, but may be a bit too modern for some tastes. I would prefer a faux wood grain or a changeable frame. The blue LEDs are interesting and can be turned off when not wanted. The only thing I wished for was the ability to move images from a memory card to the frames internal storage.
