Specifications
The Coosh headset we are looking at today has an impedance of 34 ohms and a frequency response rate of 65 Hz to 20Hz. The headphones use a neodymium magnet and have a maximum input power of 10 mW and a maximum output of 125 dB. The cable is 1.2M long and the headset can be had with a 3.5mm or 2.5mm jack.

In Use
When the Coosh headset first arrived via UPS, I popped the box open to find one of those fake Halloween ears stapled to a flat partition inside the package. One Coosh ear bud was inserted into the fake ear. The text around the ear read "Crash test complete." Anyone who gets stuff from UPS knows that at times it seems they deliver via drop kick. It was impressive right out of the box to see that the Coosh headset stayed on during transit from the warehouse to my door.

The ear hoops used on the Coosh headset are a soft and flexible silicone material. The hoops offer comfortable wear over extended periods and don't interfere with sunglasses if you are wearing them outside. The hoops will keep the Coosh headset in place no matter how active you are, which you can’t say about some headphones.

The hoops are also removable for those who don’t like around the ear style headsets. Three color choices are available for the hoops and all are made of the same material. Hoops are available in white, black, and pink. My test unit has white hoops. My only fear is that the white silicone will become yellow with age and show dirt badly.

On the cable near the wearers mouth is a mic with a button for push to answer calls and mute of audio playback. The connector uses a right-angle housing to help prevent accidental unplugging of the headphones.

The really important part of any headset is how it sounds. The Coosh headset has nice bass, sharp highs and good mid range sound. Bass isn’t as deep as some other headsets I have tried, but the overall sound quality of the Coosh headset is very good. When you consider that the Coosh headset retails for only $19.99 the sound quality is even more impressive.

The headset worked flawlessly with my iPhone. Call quality was very good. I could hear the voice of the person I was calling and they could hear me. I noticed no echoes and the mic didn't pick up extraneous room sounds.
