Storyline
Crysis Warhead is a PC exclusive and follows Sergeant Psycho Sykes in a parallel story line that takes place at the same time as the escapades of Nomad in the original Crysis game. If you played the original game and wondered exactly how the crated ice slinging alien robot ended up on the carrier at sea, Crysis Warhead explains it.

Graphics & Gameplay
Graphics are fantastic for Warhead and are easily as good as the original. I wouldn't call the graphics better, but it would be very hard to improve on the graphics from Crysis and still offer frame rates that are playable.

It's interesting as you play the game to see environments and locations from the original Crysis from a different perspective. At times, you can even hear audio from the original game. Among the new offerings for Warhead are new weapons, vehicles, and an enhanced enemy AI.

The storyline has Psycho trying to capture a cargo container from a ruthless enemy leader. As the cargo is moved all around the island, Psycho stays a few steps behind until the end. Fighting in the game is intense and to help along the way are some of the same elements from the original game.

The nano suit offers all the features we are familiar with including invisibility, strength, and speed. Weapons are fully customizable, one of the most interesting features from the original game. Among the new vehicles are a couple new APC's that have different weapons.

Also included with Warhead is a new full multiplayer game called Crysis Wars. This isn’t simply a Warhead multiplayer mode, rather this is a fully separate game that requires no fees to play. Different environments and play modes are offered. The suit has the same features in the multiplayer game as the single player versions offer.

All players have the same suit and weapons vary depending on the game mode and environment. Servers were well populated with other players, but overall the multiplayer action was nowhere near as satisfying as Call of Duty 4.

The good news for gamers who don’t own the original Crysis is that Warhead is a stand-alone game and doesn't need Crysis to play. Crysis Warhead is also one of the lowest cost new games around at $29.99. The only bad thing I can say about Warhead is that the game is short. I finished the entire game in about two hours of play. Still the amount of fun delivered in those two hours is well worth the price of entry.
