Features & Specifications
The My Real Digital Video Camera features 64MB of built-in memory and memory expansion via SD cards. A 1.7-inch rear LCD makes it easy for kids to watch recorded video and view images as well as align shots. Resolution for the camera is 1.3-megapixels and it features 4x digital zoom and a built-in light for recording in dark rooms. One of the coolest features is that the camera is waterproof to three feet; kids can even swim or bathe with it.

In Use
The My Real Digital Video Camera is a cool gadget for kids that lets them shoot their own full motion video and still shots. The camera is intended for use by kids ages 3 and up. Controls for the camera are easy to use and the buttons are big. A neck strap helps kids keep the camera nearby. The design of the camera is strong and robust enough to handle life with a young kid.

Editing of video and still shots can be done inside the camera. Kids can add backdrops and sounds to the video or images. Items that can be added include things like a driving scene where the subject is inside a car, pirate hats, and several other silly things kids will love. Sounds can be added to make music behind the video kids are shooting.

Sound from recorded movies is played back through an internal speaker built into the camera and the flash light comes on automatically to help brighten dark rooms. Both my three-year-old daughter and my seven-year-old son were able to operate the camera easily enough. My daughter had a bit of a hard time changing the mode from video playback to digital camera and video recording.

Deleting images and video from the camera is easy to accomplish with a delete button that does the deed in a press. The camera is powered by two AA batteries and it automatically shuts itself off after a few minutes of no use to conserve battery power.

Under the water resistant battery door are the SD card slot and the USB slot for playing video back to a PC. The internal memory is enough to store a significant amount of images and video thanks to the low resolution of the files.
