Specifications In Use The latch mechanism is spring loaded and clasps automatically. When pressed the spring-loaded wallet flips open automatically for fast access. On my review unit, I found that if I was holding the wallet with one hand when I opened it, the thing opens very fast and can slip out of your hand. This isn’t such a big deal because typically when I press the button I am holding the wallet where the lid hits my hand making it open more slowly. Inside the wallet is an area for cash that has a plastic flap to keep it from falling out when the wallet is open. Next to the cash flap is a spot for photos, on the other side of the hinged photo area is a place for storing credit cards and other items. The other side of the lid has another spot for credit cards. The credit cards are held in place by little flanges that put pressure on them. The amount of pressure they exert is enough to keep the credit cards in place but not enough to make it hard to get them out of your wallet. I have a few paper business cards and other thin things in my wallet and the little gripping edges didn’t fit these too well. I only carry one credit card and my drivers license, if you are the type who carries an ATM card and several other credit cards you may find the smallish FlipSide Wallet lacks the space you need. I also ran into space issues with the picture slot. I could only get three of the six pics of my family I normally carry with me inside the wallet. That's not such a big deal if you have lots of digital pics stored on your smartphone. Overall, the FlipSide Wallet is very cool and works really well. If you want a high-tech wallet this is certainly a product worth considering. The FlipSide Wallet is available now for $39.95 in all colors.
