Specifications
The Tenqa SP-109 Bluetooth headphones have a range of ten meters when connected to a class 2 Bluetooth device. The headphones have a frequency response of 180Hz-20 KHz and a power output of 2W x 2. Power for the headphones comes from an internal rechargeable battery that charges via USB. The headphones sell for $59.99.

In Use
Pairing the headphones to my iPhone 3GS was very easy. Hold down the phone button on the right side to put the headphones into paring mode and the iPhone recognized the headset right away. The pin is 0000 and the headphones paired with no issue. The headphones have a behind the neck style and the band sits on top of the ears.

The plastic hoops that sit on top of the ears are hard and have no padding making long term use a bit uncomfortable. I would like to see some padding on the ear loop section. The earphone cups themselves are padded well enough with foam that helps prevent your ears from getting hot and makes them comfortable for long term use.

The Tenqa SP-109 Bluetooth headphones have controls for volume and track built into the right side of the headphones. The volume is very loud and will go well beyond what is comfortable to wear. High and mid-range sounds are good and the bass is surprisingly deep. The overall sound quality from the headphones is good. The bass isn't the deepest I have heard, but at the price the Tenqa SP-109 Bluetooth headphones sell for bass levels are good.

Making and receiving phone calls using the Tenqa SP-109 Bluetooth headphones is easy to do. You hit the large button in the center of the right ear piece with the picture of a phone on it to answer or hang up a call. The voices are clear and easy to hear and the mic works well for picking up your voice. The mic did pick up other noises in the room so they might not be suited to very loud environment.

I didn’t test the battery for the length of run time Tenqa promises. Tenqa claims the headphones are good for 15 hours of listening and 160 hours of standby. The only charging method is via USB and the headphones only ship with a USB cable for charging from a PC. That means is you need to charge on the road you had better have a computer with you. I would like to see an AC to USB adapter sold with the headphones.
