Capcom Reveals E3 Surprise Early
Earlier this month, Capcom released a list of the titles they would be bringing to E3 2009. On the list were two unnamed games to be revealed during the show. Apparently, though, someone at Capcom isn't very good at keeping secrets. In an issue of Nintendo Power, Capcom just revealed the identity of one of their secret games.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom (for the Wii) will be yet another Capcom crossover fighting game, like the Marvel vs Capcom series. This one will contain all of your old favorite Capcom characters (except for Zangief, what the hell, Capcom?) fighting against characters created by Tatsunoku Productions, a Japanese animation company. This game is out in Japan, so there's an incredibly detailed Wikipedia entry for it already.

Wii Fans Denied Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will not be appearing on the Wii, neither as downloadable content or in a retail release, according to a post by a Capcom insider at the Capcom Unity blog.
Last night, Capcom confirmed the game would appear on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network this summer. Responding to complaints from upset Wii fans, Capcom VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development Christian Svenson claimed, “This is a downloadable play, not a retail play. We don't actually have any retail rights on this project. And there's no way to get anywhere near the Wiiware filesize limit here.”

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Confirmed for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network
Long-standing rumors of fighting-game favorite Marvel vs. Capcom 2 coming to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network were confirmed today on the Capcom Unity blog, with a demo scheduled for release on the PlayStation Network later this week.
The post claims that this will be the “definitive” version of MVC2, based on the Dreamcast code base. Other features include online play with leaderboards and stat tracking, HD upscaling options, widescreen support, custom soundtracks, and no unlocking required to play all 56 characters.
No release date was provided, only a note that the game would drop “this summer.” No pricing information was released. Read morePosted on Mon, 27 Apr 2009 21:30:00 CDT | by James Douglas

Capcom Ships Street Fighter IV
Capcom has announced the launch of Street Fighter IV on the Xbox 360 and PS3 game consoles. The new version of the game goes back to the franchises 2D street fighting roots with some 3D HD visuals included.
Street Fighter is one of those games I have many fond memories of playing during my youth. It's cool to see the series moving on and continuing now that my kids are old enough to play it. Characters in the game include classics like Ryu, Ken, Chun-li, and Guile. Read more

Capcom Neglects SDTV Owners, Leaves Dead Rising Players Upset
If you completely forget about half of your potential customers, they're going to be spiteful. That's what Capcom is learning with their recent snafu in Dead Rising for the Xbox 360. You see, it seems their QA department only tested the game on HDTVs, assuming that the results would be the same of standard-def sets.
Perhaps that wasn't the best assumption to make, since the majority of Americans do not own an HDTV. The result is that, when played on anything but an HDTV, the in-game text appears very small, almost to the point of being unable to read.
