Amazon.com One Day Electronics Sale Counters Early Black Friday Deals Of Walmart

Alright, deal-hunters, if you're in the mood to start your Christmas shopping a little early, Amazon.com is throwing a 24-hour sale today. The first two deals of the morning have already sold out, but if you visit here you can get ready to pounce when the next deal opens up at 10:00 AM, PST. Amazon won't say just what the next deal is, but they do claim it's a “perfect fit for your home cinema”.

Black Friday 2009 seems to think the deal could be an extra-low price on an HDTV. We do know that the deal after that, which comes online at 12:00 PM PST, is a $100 Amazon Promotional Code with the purchase of an Xbox 360 Arcade. They offered the same deal earlier this morning, and all the available codes were nabbed within minutes. This is the same Xbox 360 Arcade deal Walmart offers in stores today

Walmart announced yesterday hot electronics deals for this coming Saturday Nov. 7th. These In-Store Deals are Black Friday worthy and we have analyzed the deals in detail here. Earlier today we reported the announcement of Walmart's early Black Friday deals that the retailer will be offering this Saturday at 8am. Besides Sears and Kmart Walmart, is opening big sale events weeks before Black Friday.

Walmart has set the bar rather high with at least two very impressive deals in electronics this weekend. The Xbox 360 Arcade will be offered for $199 with a $100 Walmart gift card and Walmart offers an HP Notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium at a netbook price of only $298.
Below we take a closer look at all the announced early Walmart Black Friday electronics deals and find out if they are worth getting out of bed on Saturday. As of now it looks like these deals are only available in stores.

These holiday deals include $298 Windows 7 HP notebook computer and an Xbox 360 Arcade with a $100 gift card. That is right. Basically you get the Xbox 360 Arcade for $99. We have a list of currently available hot deals on Walmart and the latest information on what products are the bestsellers on Walmart.com right now.
The list of deals below in the Electronics, Toys and Home section include a 10MP Nikon Camera for under $100 and a Windows 7 HP 15.6 inch HP Notebook.
The current top selling item on Walmart.com is the $199 Wii console, who would have thought that. The #2 item is the 8GB iPod touch selling for $188.95 and on the #3 spot is the 250GB Xbox 360 Elite Bundle selling for $399.

Merry Madagascar DVD Exclusively on Sale At Walmart

Today Walmart announced an exclusive deal to sell the Merry Madagascar DVD. Merry Madagascar is a 30-minute animated Christmas special that premieres on NBC on November 17th.
Walmart will carry the standard Merry Madagascar DVD movie for $5 and a deluxe DVD version with additional content for $8. These DVDs are very nice stocking stuffers.

Walmart stores will also offer new Merry Madagascar licensed pajamas, slippers, socks, throw blankets and other holiday gifts starting this week. Read more

Black Friday Walmart Versus Amazon Online Price War Coming?

In Mid-October out of nowhere a little price war was started up by Walmart against Amazon to make a point that Walmart has also the best prices online.
Walmart offered hot-pre-order book titles for $10 and soon Amazon counter attacked and the prices fell to $9 for Ford County, Under the Dome or I Alex Cross.
Amazon then decided to stop fighting and left prices at $9. Walmart under priced Amazon by 1c and later had to cut another cent as Target got into the game and matched Walmart's $8.99 pricing.

My empirical analyses showed that more customers still bought the books on Amazon when given the choice side by side with Walmart even if Walmart's price is a bit lower. This could also be the reason that Amazon did not drop the prices further on the pre-order books. They might even have sold more because of the publicity around the little price war.
In my opinion Walmart needs to under cut Amazon's pricing by an amount that breaks the habit of Amazon addicts - and most people including me suffer from the Amazon addiction. It just "feels" good and easy to buy on Amazon - click and done. Read more

Walmart Set to Offer Installation Services

Walmart is one of the largest electronics retailers in the country and the world for that matter. The company fights Best Buy as the location that many consumers go to when they want something electronic. Best Buy has had its Geek Squad for a long time now and Walmart is now set to move into the installation services business as well.

Walmart has started a partnership with N.E.W. Customer Service Companies that will allow the retailer to offer in-home setup services for items purchased from Walmart stores. The new install services should be coming soon. Read more

As reported on Friday, Walmart has started a little early Black Friday online price war with Amazon.com. Walmart started offering the top 10 books that are currently on preorder for only $10. Amazon hit back and matched the price. On Friday the prices were already down to $9.
Amazon has apparently given up as Walmart is now offering each book for $8.99. Amazon has the price still at $9. Sometimes 1 cent makes a big difference. In this case this 1 cent means that Walmart is the winner and offers the best prices on the soon to be book bestsellers. Read more

We are six weeks away from Black Friday 2009, but Walmart and Amazon already have a little price war going on that you should not miss out on.
According to the Wall Street Journal (Subscription) Walmart started challenging Amazon on $10 prices for hot new pre-order hardcover book titles.
Well, Amazon hit back and also lowered the pricing of the same books and we are currently already at $9 for books including Stephen King's Under The Dome, John Grisham's Ford Country or James Patterson's I, Alex Cross.

Father's Day will be here before you know it and starting on June 14th Walmart will be offering some good deals for Father's Day gift giving. The retailer will offer a Magnavox NB500GMx Blu-ray player for $128 and certain Blu-ray movies at two for $20.
