Palm Mini-Pre rumored to go against rumored iPhone nano

That is maybe something new a rumored devices goes against another rumored one. TechCrunch reports that one of their sources told them about a new Palm smartphone that would be released in fall.
Update: Rumor intensived very quickly and now we look at an ultra-thin Palm Eos.

The new Palm Pre like device would be smaller, but still run webOS. A smaller iPhone was also already rumored before the first iPhone actually started to ship. The iPhone nano is after two years still a far fetch rumor.
If the Palm Mini-Pre will have the same fate remains to be seen. Read more

Apple says no to an iPhone nano

Apple's Tim Cook denied plans for a smaller iPhone dubbed in the Apple rumor world as iPhone nano.
Apple's COO Tim Cook who currently runs Apple until Steve Jobs is back got it though very wrong on what an iPhone nano smartphone is.
According to Apple Insider, when asked about an iPhone nano he replied "We're not going to play in the low-end voice phone business". That is not what I think an iPhone nano should be. I want a full iPhone 3G that is just a little smaller sporting an 2.2-2.6 inch OLED with QVGA resolution. Read more

Before the MacWorld 2009 the rumors about a small iPhone nano have been flying high again fueled by product listings from iPhone case makers.
Digitimes mentions now that the Chinese Economic Daily News reports that TSMC and UMC are said to receive orders for iPhone nano chips from Apple in March. Read more

Vaja Announces iPhone Nano Cases

The iPhone Nano has been a topic of much discussion recently with many rumors popping up that Apple may have a new, smaller device up its sleeve for the smartphone crowd. Apple products have been leaked ahead of launch before from case makers, which was the case with some of the new iPods and the iPhone.

XSKN Shows Supposed iPhone Nano Device In Cases

Yesterday I mentioned that an unknown case maker called XSKN had listed on its site iPhone Nano case options. Obviously, since the iPhone Nano doesn’t exist it was curious. One of the catches yesterday was that there were no cases actually shown on the site.

Today XSKN has many cases with what is supposed to be the iPhone Nano inside them. From looking at the rendered images, I can’t honestly tell if the handset is different or simply a normal iPhone. Read more

Case Maker Lists iPhone Nano Cases

I'll consider this to be very shady, but interesting nonetheless. A mobile phone case maker called XSKN has a spot on its website for cases that fit the iPhone Nano. Anyone familiar with the phone world knows that there is no iPhone Nano, but one has been on the Apple rumor list for a long time.

You might think that a case maker leaking a smartphone design is sketchy, but a case maker is exactly where we have seen the first indication of what the some of the new iPod's and the iPhone 3G would look like. Read more

Now that the Macworld 2009 is just a couple of weeks away all kinds of Apple product related rumors are floating around again. One of my favorite is the iPhone nano rumor, as I really would like to have a smaller iPhone that fits nicely in my jeans front pocket.
The iPhone nano rumor started even before Apple introduced the first iPhone. Now according to MacRumors case manufacturer XSKN added an iPhone nano category to their website. XSKN has a reputation of releasing information about new cases before Apple actually announces new products. The company sold iPhone 3G cases before the announcement by Apple and also showed cases of the unreleased latest iPod nano. Read more

iPhone nano Rumors intensify

Apple Insider reports that, quote: 'extremely reputable sources', say that there is a 2nd iPhone on the Apple product road map still in 2007.

The 2nd iPhone is supposed to be simpler and cheaper than the currently available iPhone. It would be basically just a music phone.

I do not have to be sold on believing that this is Apple's next step. The current iPhone is not the ideal Christmas present. Read more

Apple is going to launch a new product line with the iPhone next month. The newly discovered patent application of Apple describing a backside touch panel puts more weight to the prediction that Apple will at some point release a smaller iPhone.

iPhone nano Rumor is here again

The iPhone will be a cool smartphone, but is too big and to feature rich for the mass market. Most users want a small phone that is mainly used for calling. Texting, listening to music, surfing the web and taking the occasional photo are supposed to be available in some simple to use form. Read more
